Sudan Call: August 2025 Basmatie Supports Children in Schools and Hospitals

Basmatie vzw Sudan continues its mission to support vulnerable communities, and this time the focus is placed specifically on children one of the groups most affected by the ongoing conflict. Many children across Sudan face severe shortages of basic necessities and lack access to proper healthcare, making targeted humanitarian support more critical than ever.
Our local team visited schools, the Al-Thawra Health Centre, and the Al-Balak Children’s Hospital, delivering essential supplies and conducting medical check-ups. They also provided prescribed medication to children in need, offering both immediate care and relief, while helping to restore a sense of stability and dignity for those living through hardship.
Thanks to the generous donations from Een Hart Voor Vluchtelingen, Basmatie was able to distribute large quantities of hygiene products, , and other basic supplies. These donations reached exactly the communities they were intended for, offering tangible relief and making a meaningful difference in the lives of many children.
With every visit, the Basmatie team strengthens its commitment to supporting the youngest members of the Sudanese community ensuring that even in times of crisis, children are seen, supported, and cared for.
