Sudan Call: June 2025 Basmatie in Omdurman Shelter Centre

With Basmatie’s local team now officially established in Sudan, the donations collected in Belgium finally began to arrive. As soon as the supplies reached the country, our team immediately mobilized to support vulnerable communities.
The first destination was Omdurman Shelter Centre, a safe home for orphaned children. There, the volunteers distributed the items donated by Een Hart Voor Vluchtelingen, including diapers, hygiene essentials, and clothing. These basic supplies brought immediate relief to the children and ensured that their daily needs were met with dignity and care.
This marks one of the first actions of BAsmatie’s on-the-ground humanitarian efforts in Sudan made possible by the dedication of our local volunteers and the generosity of our supporters in Belgium.
